  • Q. WHERE IS THE SCHAEFFER EYE CENTER CITYFEST LOCATED AND HOW DO I GET THERE?
  • A. The Schaeffer Eye Center CITYFEST will be located at Railroad Park, 1600 1st AL 35223. The main entrances are along 1st Avenue South at 14th, 16th, and 18th Avenue South, Birmingham, Streets South.
  • Q. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO GET INTO THE EVENT?

  • A. There are no "back stage passes" for this event.
  • Q. WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
  • A. Parking is available on the street and in several parking lots nearby.
  • Q. ARE WE GOING TO ALLOW PEOPLE TO BRING IN FOLDING CHAIRS OR COOLERS TO THIS EVENT?
  • A. Chairs ARE allowed in the park, but they cannot be set up within 100 feet of the stage.
  • Q. ARE CAMERAS ALLOWED AT THE EVENT?
  • A. Professional cameras with detachable lenses are not allowed. Only point and shoot or disposable cameras are allowed.
  • Q. WHAT IF IT RAINS?
  • A. The event is rain or shine.
  • Q. IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT TO ATTEND?
  • A. There is no age limit to attend, but children under 18 must be supervised by an adult.
  • Q. CAN I LEAVE THE FESTIVAL SITE AND RETURN LATER?
  • A. Attendees may come and go from this event.

  • Skateboards, scooters, or personal motorized vehicles (except people with mobility limitations)
  • Bicycles inside festival grounds

  • Instruments and laser pointers
  • Umbrellas
  • Picnic baskets
  • Lawn furniture
  • Large or hard-sided coolers
  • Tents
  • Pets (except service dogs)
  • Video equipment - no video recording will be allowed
  • Professional still camera equipment (no detachable lenses, tripods, big zooms, or commercial use rigs)
  • Audio recording equipment
  • No illegal vending is permitted - no unauthorized/unlicensed vendors allowed

ADA Accommodations

The festival will be taking place outdoors at Railroad Park which is wheelchair accessible.

SECURITY/SAFETY

Our primary goal is to create a safe and secure environment for all festival attendees. To ensure this, there will be on-site security provided by local police and private security companies. If you're experiencing any problems whatsoever, locate a festival staff member, security guard, or police officer.

WE HAVE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY TOWARDS VIOLENCE OF ANY TYPE. ANY INCIDENTS WILL BE ADDRESSED BY BIRMINGHAM POLICE DEPARTMENT AND EVENT SECURITY. ANY PERSONS INVOLVED IN FIGHTING OR VIOLENT ACTS WILL BE REMOVED FROM SITE AND/OR ARRESTED, NO EXCEPTIONS!

MEDICAL

Emergency EMTs will be on-site to help you with any type of medical problem. If you need assistance, go to the medical tent, or look for a police officer or festival staff member. Medical tent will be marked on all maps.

ATMS

A Regions Bank Mobile ATM will be available on site.
